Plants with Purpose is a small plant nursery based at Blackhaugh Community Farm in Spittalfield, just 20 minutes north of Perth. Here you will find a range of herbs and edible ornamentals suitable for the adventurous kitchen gardener. Alongside these there are also medicinal plants and wildflowers.
Plants with Purpose was previously run by Margaret Lear and more recently by Appletreeman, Andrew Lear, who is still operating from the farm, where he is focusing on fruit trees, soft fruit and edible hedging. Plants with Purpose is now run by Sarah Walkington who caught the Plants with Purpose bug whilst working with Andrew for the past couple of years.

Pricing
All plants in round 1 litre pots cost £4, smaller square pots cost either £2 or £3. We operate an honesty box system so please try to bring some loose change.
1 litre pots are 3 for £10.
Payment by card will be available when I'm at the farm or call me for alternative arrangements. Please get in touch to be sure I'm there if you need help or advice and that the plants you want are available.
Free delivery is available within Perthshire, minimum order £30.
There is a £5.00 delivery fee if under £30.
If you do not stay locally I can post items to you, a delivery fee will apply.

You can also order plants to be collected at a Farmers market we are attending once lockdown restrictions have been removed.
Details will be added when the markets restart.
