Oenothera biennis - A biennial which flowers in it's second year, the flowers open in the afternoon and die the following morning, it constantly produces new flowers throughout the summer and autumn.
Uses - All parts of evening primrose can be eaten at various stages of it's life cycle, but it's best known for the many medicinal uses from the oil produced from it's seeds.

How to grow - Plant in full sun or partial shade with some shelter from the wind. Does well in poor soil and drier sites but keep well watered until established.
