Hardy clump forming perennial salad leaf.
Uses - Add to salads when the leaves are younger, older leaves can be cooked or sprinkled over a pizza to add a spicy kick.
Growing conditions - Does not require a very fertile soil, but it should be free draining. Grows in full sun or partial shade and water well until established. Can be grown in a pot. Remove flower stems to keep up a good leaf production, the flowers can also be eaten.
Height - Flowers reach approximately 60cm, leaves 30cm. Spread - 30cm.
Flower colour - Yellow
Wildlife benefits - Good for pollinating insects.
