Uses - Tasting of like a mix of parsley and celery, lovage is a wonderfully pungent herb and gives a real depth of flavour to warming winter dishes, soups, stews, etc. Do add it sparingly as it can easily overpower a dish, one sprig is usually enough for a pot of soup for two people for example. All parts of the plant can be eaten including the root and the seeds can be used in baking.
Growing conditions - Lovage is a hungry plant and will require a top dressing of compost each year. It will grow in full sun or partial shade. Water well until established in dry conditions.
