Walking Onion - 1 Litre Pot
Allium Proliferum - Also known as Tree Onion or Egyptian Onion. Produces bulbils or baby onions on the flowering stalks, they grow to around 90cm tall, lean over and root where they touch the ground allowing it to multiply and slowly walk around the garden, hence the name.
All parts are edible, we recommend allowing the walking onion to reproduce in the first year by separating the babies and planting them where you want them to grow this way you will have lots more plants to eat the following year. The bulb grows slightly larger than a shallot.
Plant in full sun, in a nice rich soil with added organic matter.
